There is a specific criterion to be considered when choosing an interior designer.  Professional status in the interior design field is held by those designers who have completed predetermined academic and work experience requirements.  This, in addition to a nationally administered exam (NCIDQ - National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) is the means by which a designer achieves professional membership in either ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) or IIDA (International Interior Design Association).  Both organizations subscribe to a code of ethics which further insures your confidence in selecting a designer.
